Jeff Reid engineered the "Hay Mate" Trailer to cut down the time of picking up round bales from around the paddock.
The trailer catches each bale from behind the baler and after three bales have been made, the latch releases and the three bales roll out onto the ground and are left in a neat pile of three.
The tractor then cuts down 66% of its time to gather the bales and by loading the three at once, can stack more efficiently as well.
Alternative Options For Even More Efficiency
An adjustment can be made so the machine can automatically release 3 bales, then 2 bales alternatively while baling. These 2 bales can then be placed on top of the 3 bales so the tractor can then cart 5 back to the loading truck/hay stack.
